Neelkanth Mahadev Temple

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Nilkanth, an aspect of Lord Shiva. The temple architecture is very much influenced by the Dravidian style of temple architecture. Rishikesh is known for many things amongst which stands tall is the famous Shiva Temple called the Neelkanth Mahadev temple. The stupor and enchantment of the delightful city tells the most ancient of all tales and significant happenings in Hindu Mythology.

Located at a distance of 32 km from Rishikesh, the temple is a sacred pilgrim spot. The Shiva abode is situated at a height of 1330 meters amidst the valleys of Manikoot, Brahmakoot, and Vishnukoot. The temple is surrounded by dense forests and sturdy mountain ranges of Nar-Narayan on the confluence of Rivers Pankaja and Madhumati.







Maa Bhuvneshwari Parvati Temple

Goddess Bhuvaneshwari is Located in the Nayar valley on a small hill top on the right bank of Nayar river near a small village Banghat couple a kilometre from the nearest town Satpuli.

Maa Bhuvneshwari is the Kul Devi of Naithani’s from Village Naithana, Patti Maniyarsyun, Pauri Garhwal. Close to the temple there is a well mantained Dharmshala is made by a trust of Naithaini’s and the devotee’s of ma Bhuvneshwari. Jhilmil Gufa in Rishikesh, is a very exclusive adventure short trekking route in Rajaji National Park near Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. This natural Gufa is located on the Manikoot Mountains about 35 km away by road from Rishikesh and 16 km away by an uphill trek through Rajaji National Park from Ram Jhula Rishikesh via Beatles Ashram. Jhilmil Cave Rishikesh is a mountaintop cave at an elevation of 1400 m from sea level.

It is located within a hiking distance of about 4 km from Shiva Temple, Neelkanth Mahadev. The Neelkanth - Jhilmil Gufa offers you scenic and stunning views of the Rishikesh and valley of the Ganges. The name Jhilmil is derived from Guru Jhilmilananda who lived in this cave for short period. Today, there are some Sadhus and Sanyasi are living permanently in the Gufa complex.
